I have become a reader! How it happened: I got tired of scrolling social media this summer! I just felt like it was becoming such a negative space, I needed a break honestly. I started reading books on my phone I read several there but the notifications got distracting. So I read a hard copy and didn’t love it. But, EVERYTHING changed when I got my Kindle Oasis I love it. I’ve read 25 books since June, I’ll be doing more book posts from here on out! On to the book recs!
The Last Mrs. Parrish– 5 ⭐️
So, The Last Mrs. Parrish has been my favorite book to date. I was not expecting the twist and turns in this book tbh! I read it in one sitting I couldn’t put it down! GET IT!
Verity– 5 ⭐️
OH MY GOD. This is the book that got me into psychological thrillers. Verity was the first book I read that I had to put down to collect my thoughts between chapters. I love the way Colleen Hoover writes I like that she breaks up the chapters into the other character’s perspectives, I feel like you get to know each character on a more intimate level. I promise you this is an ending you can’t guess. GET IT!
Local Woman Missing– 5 ⭐️
This book honestly hooked me in right away. Local Woman Missing was part of a book club that I’m in and this was the October book, kinda fitting for the season. This book pulled me out of my reading lull after reading a book that didn’t quite do it for me. There were I’d say 4 major turns I wasn’t expecting. Also, I really hope one day this is turned into a movie because wow. GET IT!
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo– 5 ⭐️
@beachreadsandbubbly on Instagram describes this book “imagine if Marilyn (Monroe) spilled the beans on her life story” and honestly I couldn’t have said it better. Taylor Jenkins Reid knows how to tell a story. GET IT!
Ugly Love– 5 ⭐️
Ugly Love was so freaking cute. This book is a non-relationship-relationship with tough rules to follow: never ask about the past and don’t expect a future. I love the storyline of this book it was a roller coaster of emotion! (in the best possible way) GET IT!
